BTLA BROKER / 03 / FOR BUSINESSES
Public liability insurance.
Tailored to what you do.
Products, services and work at a client's premises involve different risks. We analyse the business and its contracts to compare liability cover, rather than the premium alone.
For manufacturers, service providers and businesses working at clients’ premises.
01 / YOUR SITUATION
A client contract is the start of the analysis.
We help businesses whose operations may cause damage or injury to other people or businesses. We start with the activities actually carried out and the obligations accepted in contracts.
- You provide services at clients’ premises.
- You manufacture, import or sell goods.
- You use subcontractors or store other people’s property.
BEAVER AND SUPERPARROT / BUSINESS IN PRACTICE
2 miliony w polisie. Co poza tą liczbą?
Beaver thought it was all sorted. SuperParrot had one more provision to show him.
A large sum does not replace appropriate cover. Let’s check sublimits, exclusions and whether liability insurance covers the activities your business actually performs.

02 / SCOPE OF OUR WORK
Cover you can compare.
The scope and availability of cover depend on the company's situation and the terms of individual offers. We also discuss limitations together.
What do we check in these areas?
Actual business activities
We check whether the insurance description includes all significant activities. The PKD code alone does not show how services, installation, servicing or exports are carried out.
Extensions and exclusions
Where relevant, we discuss liability relating to products, subcontractors and property in your care. We check each area against the quotation terms.
Sums insured and contracts
We compare the limit of indemnity, sublimits, excess and territorial scope. We also analyse customers' requirements and the differences between the contract and the available cover.
03 / THE OUTCOME OF WORKING TOGETHER
You know what cover stands behind the certificate.
Discuss business liability cover ↗- A description of activities ready for a quote request.
- A list of important extensions and limitations.
- Comparison of quotations using shared assumptions.
- Discussing the liability limit and contractual requirements.
04 / HOW WE START
From a conversation to an informed decision.
What should you prepare first?
Prepare a description of services or products, your current policy, information about turnover and markets, and examples of customers' insurance requirements. Do not send complete contracts in your first message — we will agree which documents are needed.
What do we check in these areas?
We get to know your business
We ask about activities, customers and potential loss scenarios.
We establish requirements
We organise contracts, extensions and expected limits.
We compare quotations
We explain differences and the risks remaining with the business.
05 / BEFORE WE TALK
Worth knowing.
Is entering a PKD business activity code enough?
The code is a starting point. The description should show actual activities, product types, clients and service locations.
Does business liability cover every contractual liability?
No. Obligations assumed may exceed the offered cover. The specific contract must be compared with definitions, exclusions and available extensions.
How do you choose the liability limit?
We assess the possible scale of loss, client types, activities and contractual requirements. The limit should not be based solely on last year’s amount.
Does public liability insurance replace D&O?
These forms of cover are not interchangeable. Public liability concerns different risks from the liability of people managing a business in the performance of their duties.
SPECIFICS / BEFORE A DECISION
Before you request a quote.
What affects the cost?
- Actual activities and turnover
- Territory of operations and contractual requirements
- Limits, extensions and claims history
These are starting points for a conversation. A meaningful price comparison requires a defined scope and terms of cover.
What will help our first conversation?
- Description of services or production
- Sample business partner requirements
- Current policy and claims information
Don't have everything? Start with a brief description. We will establish what can be added later.
Is a PKD activity code enough to select liability cover?
PKD is a starting point. We also need a description of actual activities, clients and contracts to check whether proposed cover reflects the business.
